LPED Announces New Vice President for Economic Development

(November 5, 2026) The Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development (LPED) announces Brandon Wilcox as its new Vice President of Economic Development. Wilcox will officially join LPED on December 21, 2026, bringing extensive experience in economic development and business recruitment to the organization.

“Brandon’s experience with the Greater Wichita Partnership brings a strong background in economic development, business growth and new investment recruitment that will serve Lincoln well,” says Jason Ball, President & CEO of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development. “His leadership and experience will position LPED for continued success as we work together to build on Lincoln's economic momentum and create new opportunities for our community,” Ball adds.

As Vice President of Economic Development, Wilcox will provide leadership and strategic direction for LPED's efforts to support a thriving, growing business community. Working alongside business leaders, community partners and local government, he will lead initiatives focused on business recruitment and expansion, entrepreneurship and innovation, talent attraction and workforce development. Through this work, he will help attract new investment, support the long-term success of Lincoln businesses and position the community for continued economic growth.

“Brandon brings a strong record of attracting investment, supporting business growth, and building the partnerships that drive economic opportunity,” says Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird. “We’re excited to welcome him home to Lincoln and to work together through LPED to build on our community’s momentum and position Lincoln for continued economic growth.”

Wilcox brings 10 years of experience in economic development and chamber management to LPED, with expertise in business attraction, retention and expansion, investor engagement and strategic partnerships. Throughout his career, he has helped facilitate the attraction and expansion of twelve companies in the Wichita region, representing $132.4 million in new capital investment and nearly 300 new jobs.

Most recently, Wilcox served as Senior Project Manager of Economic Development for the Greater Wichita Partnership, collaborating with public and private partners across a 10-county region and representing Wichita at national and international industry events. Prior to joining the Greater Wichita Partnership, he held leadership positions with the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce and the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce in Kansas, where he developed business relationships and secured strategic sponsorship investments.

“Lincoln is my hometown, and returning to help lead its economic development efforts is both a professional honor and deeply personal,” says Wilcox. “I look forward to working alongside the LPED team, employers and community partners to help existing businesses grow, attract new investment, and connect people with opportunities to build their futures here. I’m excited to build on Lincoln’s momentum and help create lasting opportunities for the next generation,” Wilcox adds.
