EmployLNK and Center for People in Need to Host Job Seeker Career Fair

EmployLNK, The Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development (LPED) and local area agencies are hosting a career fair next month to help match employees with area employers.

The Job Seeker Career Fair will be held on Thursday, October 7 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the Center for People in Need, 3901 N. 27th Street in Lincoln. The Center for People in Need is a co-host of this event, with additional partnerships and contributions from the American Job Center of Lancaster and Saunders Counties and EmployLNK.

With an unemployment rate that is one of the lowest in the country at 1.9 percent according to July 2021 numbers, Lincoln-area companies continue to hire in a variety of fields including manufacturing, office, construction, healthcare, youth jobs and many more. Job seekers will have the opportunity to connect with local employers with direct hire opportunities.

“EmployLNK is excited to welcome job seekers from around the area who are looking for additional career opportunities,” says Allison Hatch, Director of Workforce Development for LPED. “As we continue in our efforts to connect people to full-time careers and steady employment options, a wide range of employers are ready to employ these job seekers with careers at all skill levels that offer great benefits.

“The career fair is an excellent venue to make these connections and provide a valuable resource to our community,” Hatch adds.

The agencies comprising EmployLNK serve over 5,000 Lincoln residents by connecting veterans, adults and students to employers as they look to hire.
