Lincoln Manufacturing Class Applications Due on January 14

The six-week program offers two-hour classes beginning Wednesday, February 2 for those interested in careers in manufacturing with no prior experience in manufacturing careers necessary. The classes will be conducted in person and will take place at Educare of Lincoln, located at 3435 North 14th Street. Applications for the class are due on Friday, January 14 and can be completed online at www.selectlincoln.org/LMC.

Students that take the class learn about safety, measurement and more in addition to taking a job shadow to one of the participating businesses of the Lincoln Manufacturing Council. Upon graduation, students receive a $250 stipend upon program completion, free childcare, complimentary meals, insight into career opportunities, valuable job shadow opportunities and more. Students that have completed the class now work at Kawasaki, InExhaust, Lincoln Industries, Agility Fuel Solutions and other local manufacturers.

The class is offered in partnership with the Lincoln Manufacturing Council, which is comprised of 14 local manufacturers, in addition to assistance from six supporting businesses and two community partner organizations. Classes will be held each Wednesday beginning February 2 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. and conclude on March 9.
