Manufacturing Tech Certification Program

The Manufacturing Tech Certification Program (Level 1) provides a unique opportunity for those with no prior experience in the manufacturing industry to receive the training needed to step into new careers that offer excellent pay and benefits. 

Training includes basic manufacturing principles and fundamentals of safety as well as soft skills and problem solving. The class is created and led by Lincoln manufacturing employers to provide the skills and confidence necessary for employment. The program also includes:

  • Free childcare
  • Complimentary meals
  • Insight into career opportunities
  • Connections with local manufacturing employers
  • Training to position participants to step into entry-level manufacturing careers
  • Valuable job shadow opportunities
  • $250 stipend upon program completion + application to at least one manufacturing job in the Lincoln area

Program Requirements: In order to receive the certificate of program completion and receive the $250 stipend, participants must:

  • Have basic English skills
  • Be interested in a role in manufacturing
  • Attend all sessions (2.5 hours weekly for 6 weeks)
  • Participate in one job shadow
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance
  • Apply for a job with at least one local manufacturing company

This hands-on class will be for individuals who have prior manufacturing experience (or have completed the Level 1 Certificate Program) and want to increase their skills and knowledge of manufacturing. Stay tuned for more details.
