MyLink Additional Features and New Communities

Lincoln, NE – The MyLink app and website provide information about nonprofit and government services to ensure that families utilize local and available resources.

With increased need and services available statewide due to COVID-19, the MyLink app and website provide an invaluable tool for families that have never needed services before to understand local and federal services available in their area. In Lincoln, the app has been downloaded over 10,000 times and has over 1,000 monthly users.

The free app is available on the Android Play Store and iOS App Store. The app, once downloaded, works without cellular or WiFi service for families that may have a smartphone but do not have regular service. The website includes the same information at https://mylnk.app/. The app and website now include additional features and services.

Families can select their region and then utilize a searchable database of services, for example “rent assistance,” or select categories such as Food, Childcare, Veterans, or Legal. Families can enter their address to see services nearby or view a daily calendar of free medical care and food distribution. Families can also find services nearby by entering their address using the map feature. Finally, the app translates into Arabic, Spanish, Somali, and Vietnamese.

In addition, MyLink is now available for residents of Central Nebraska (Adams, Buffalo, Dawson and Hall Counties) and the Sandhills region (Blaine, Custer, Garfield, Greeley, Loup, Sherman, Valley and Wheeler Counties).

Local nonprofits and services can add their information or update their information through the app or website or by contacting the email below. The app and website were created by Don’t Panic Labs in partnership with Leadership Lincoln and the Center for People in Need. The app and website are updated by local organizations.
