Kaylie Hogan-Schnittker, Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development’s Director of Talent Strategy, has been appointed to the StarTran Advisory Board after being unanimously approved by the Lincoln City Council on a 7-0 vote at their meeting on Monday, November 1. Hogan-Schnittker’s term on the board will last through October 20, 2024.
“I am excited and honored to receive this appointment to serve on the StarTran Advisory Board,” said Hogan-Schnittker. “I believe that providing an equitable transportation system is key to connecting our community, especially to those who have been historically marginalized, to high quality employment, education, housing and healthcare.”
As a part of the Advisory Board, Hogan-Schnittker will review matters relating to the operation of the bus system including transit-related studies and plans, route studies and evaluations, performance indicators, rates, fare and schedules. Meetings are held monthly at the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department offices at 3131 “O” Street.
“As the city of Lincoln continues to grow, breaking down barriers and creating connections for our citizens is paramount to a healthy and thriving community,” Hogan-Schnittker added. “I look forward to being an equitable lens to the board and continuing to shape Lincoln into a place where everyone can prosper.
